Folding@Malaysia is holding a Logo Competition that will start on March 27, 2006 and will end on April 24, 2006. If you are interested, please read the rules/guidelines below and we look forward to your participation. Thank you.
 

Purpose
------------

To establish a team logo that can be used on web site, t-shirt designs, advertising medias, etc. This logo will be a symbol that represents the Folding@Malaysia (F@M)/dcmalaysia.net team, the members, and the fun/friendly environment of the team.

General Guideline
-------------------------

- Participating designers must only submit original work.
- The logo should easily identify F@M/dcmalaysia.net as a distributed computing project team.
- The logo should be easily displayed and usable in both color and black-and-white environment.
- The logo should not be offensive.
- The logo are not to include any current Folding@Home items (eg. The folding flower) but may be inserted for use after the final logo is selected.

Rules
--------

1. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by the competition rules and transfer all rights of the design without limitation to F@M/dcmalaysia.net to use, display, make copies, publish in any media, alter, etc. This list is not exhaustive. Entries will become the property of F@M/dcmalaysia.net.

2. Judging will be done via voting by the F@M folding community. Initial selection may be done by a panel made out of f@M members. This will be determined by the F@M moderators should the need arises and will most likely be volunteers from the community.

3. The selection panel reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.

4. F@M/dcmalaysia.net Moderators will have the rights to make the final decision should the need arises.

5. If all entries are deemed unsuitable or unqualified, the F@M moderators will have the right to determine whether to extend the dateline or hold another competition.

6. Competition is open to all Lowyat.net Forum members.

7. Submission format
  - Initial submission will be a size of 200px x 200px PNG format.
  - Submit via posting on Logo Submission Thread at Lowyat Folding@Malaysia subforum.
  - Have transparent background.
  - Final design format must be easily resized.
  - Limit five (5) entries per person.
  - Winner will be asked to submit:
  - Photoshop psd file format with a set of different resolutions that will be determined.

8. Prize
  - AMD Sempron 64 3000+ Palermo 800MHz Socket 754.
  - Similar prize will be awarded should item becomes available in the future.
  - Prize will only be shipped to winner located in Malaysia or United States after final design format as requested under the 'Submission format' above are received.

9. Duration of submission will be one month. Designs can submitted starting on March 27, 2006 and ends on April 24, 2006, 11:59pm Malaysian Time.

10. F@M/dcmalaysia.net Moderators reserved the rights to modify the competition rules and regulations at any time.
