How to set up 2 or more console clients on a single computer? PDF Print E-mail

We recommend users to only consider running more than 1 console client if you have a hyperthreading processor like the Intel Pentium 4 with Hyper Threading Technology or a computer with multiple processors on it. To do this you will have to set up multiple folding directories/folders for each instance of the folding.

  • Create two or more directories/folders depending on the number of clients you would like to run.
Example:
C:\fah1
C:\fah2
  • Download the client to one of the directory/folder and copy it to the other directories/folders.
Example:
C:\fah1
    FAH502-Console.exe
C:\fah2
    FAH502-console.exe
You will need to start the clients with the -local switch to avoid complications. Any other command switches that you would like to use are up to you.

Pay attention to the following configuration:
Machine ID (1-8) [1]?

Use 1 for the first client, and 2 for the second client and so on. You can have a maximum of 8 clients running on one computer.
  • Run it as usual after configuring the multiple clients.
