Run console client as a service using pK's F@H Server Installer PDF Print E-mail

Instructions Using pK's F@H Service Installer
Link: http://www.bluetentacle.co.uk/dc/fahservice.htm
Thanks to Bluetentacle for providing this great tool.

1. Download the GUI based F@H4 Service installer package: http://devel.bluetentacle.co.uk/dc/fahservice/servicegui.zip

2. Extract the package to a temporary installation directory.
Note: Do not use an existing installed F@H client folder, as this will cause an error when running the service installer.

3. Download FAH502-Console.exe from the Stanford folding website and place it in the same temporary installation directory.

4. Run servicegui.exe (which is in the directory), and this should appear:

5. Fill it out as stated (put any username you wish to have) and choose 'Work units with deadlines'. If you use a proxy server, check the 'Use proxy server' and fill in accordingly. Then click on 'Next>>' and you get:

6. Fill it out as stated. Change the 'Number of clients' to the number of clients you wish to have running. If you are using an Intel processor PC, then add -advmethods in the 'Client parameters' box.

7. Click 'Install' and this should appear:

Which would indicate it has finished installing. Then close the window. You're done. :)
