Options and reasons to run client in the background |

There are a few options on how you can hide the folding client
from the desktop and not distract you from working on your computer
depending on if you are using the text-only console client or the
graphical client. We recommend that you use the text-only console
client as that will allow you to start it as a service in the
background.
The few advantages: 1. If you set in the bios of your computer to boot up when power
is restored in the event of a power
outage, the text-only console client will run as soon as your
computer boots up. Less down time and more efficient points output. 2. No one has to be log on for the client to run. 3. You do not have to worry about forgetting to start the client manually.
Windows XP/NT/2000/2003:
Use Tray It (does not hide it but puts the application into the system tray rather than the taskbar)
Windows 95/98/ME:
Use Tray It (does not hide it but puts the application into the system tray rather than the taskbar)
