The following instruction shows you how to configure the
graphical client. Included are a few assumptions and initial steps
before running the graphical client. Please change as needed.
Screenshot are included for each of the installation steps that are self-explanatory. We are including it here so you know what
to expect. The options are similar to what you will be asked when you
configure the text-only client. For an explanation of the settings,
please also refer to the How to configure your text-only console client? FAQ.

This instruction assumes that you are setting up the client for the
first time on your computer and provide steps to help users with little
or no experience with the folding client. 2. Download the graphical client (
) into this directory - C:\fah
Double click on
to start the client.
Please make sure you put in the correct team number, which is 2999
for Folding@Malaysia. The username shown is an example; please enter
your own username. Use the same username when configuring different
clients on different PCs. That way all points will accumulate under
your username.
We
recommend that you select 'Use Internet Explorer Connection Settings'
if you have some type of firewall installed, as this will alleviate some
problems we have seen with firewall even after configuring the firewall
properly.
Important notes: The
graphical client will put a shortcut on your 'Startup' menu to
automatically start the graphical client each time you log into
windows. You can delete that shortcut or save it to another location if
you do not want the graphical client to start each time you log on.
Just remember to start it manually then if you do that.
By
default, the graphical client is installed in the directory: C:\Program
Files\Folding@Home. You can start the graphical client by running
'winFAH.exe'
